Visuals That

Encourage Instruct Collaborate

Biomedical visuals for all.

As a biomedical visualizer who specializes in virtual reality and interactive design, my goal is to create visually pleasing educational pieces that explain science concepts to a variety of audiences. As a lead, my goal is to communicate with and direct teams to accomplish our most important learning objectives while maintaining a productive schedule. Whether I am working independently or collaboratively, the purpose is always the same: what are the goals, and how can they be achieved?

I create serious games, illustrations, and graphical designs that foster a deeper understanding of complex biomedical topics. Combining both art and science into a piece can create a truly unique and beautiful experience.

Take a look into the portfolio.

Serious games are simply interactive games that are meant to teach. These games are fun for a variety of ages. Serious games can include virtual reality applications, tabletop experiences, 2D, and 3D based video gaming.

During my graduate career, I created a virtual reality application in which users had to complete a lumbar puncture. I provided 3D models and code for the project. The purpose of this study was to examine how to design a VR application to enhance learning outcome.

Sometimes a clean and simple illustration is needed to summarize a research article or cover material such as in a poster you may pass by at a convention. Illustrations can include 3D models or digital painting with accompanied text.

There is an art to science, and a science in art; the two are not enemies, but different aspects of the whole.
